Jonathan Johansson, born in 1980, grew up in Malmø, but has lived in Stockholm for the last couple of years. In 2005 he released his debut album ‘OK, ge mig timmarna’ which quickly sold out its limited pressing. It received few but great reviews.

Some years later Jonathan Johansson had recorded backing tracks with a full band in an expensive studio, created thousands of guitar tracks and turned over every stone in the whole world hunting for the right sound. In the end he looked under his own bed and there it was, the DX7, synth of synths. Jonathan took a taxi from Stockholm to a basement studio in Uppsala and convinced producer Johan Eckeborn to hook it up. Everything fell in place, they erased everything they’d done so far and started anew.

Roughly, a year and a half later, in February 2009, 10 songs were ready to be released on the Hybris label. The album ‘En hand i himelen’ set the foundations for 2009’s big breakthrough in Sweden.
