Social Suicide
Social Suicide are right now described as one of Bergen’s youngest and most promising bands. The play a mix of punk and hard melodious hardcore which brings to mind early JR Ewing. The spring of 2009 saw them release their debut EP “Kansas City Shuffle”. They have frequented a host of Norway’s club venues, as well as festivals such as Fjellpark, Sentral, and Lost Weekend. Reports from a gig together with Americans The Chariot lead to them getting a show at the prestigious Underworld in London in the summer of 2009.
“In a rather common genre they still manage to stick out. The band have good energy and are skilled instrumentalists”. (Bergens Avis)
“(Social Suicide) … delivered a show you’d have to look far and wide to experience. The got the audience to engage to the max, and used every trick in the book. Pete Townshend and Jimi Hendrix would have had a tear in their eye in sheer pride if they had seen this band, who surely have a big future ahead of them. (Bergens Tidende)
