Kråkesølv
Kråkesølv are a compact four piece band with their heart safely placed in Bødo. Meandering pop, a smattering of post-rock and a tasteful dose of ramshackle rock are the main elements in Kråkesølv’s musical universe. The band themselves like to compare themselves to the their hometown contemporaries Laura, international names such as Blonde Redhead, Death Cab For Cutie and the more poppy material of Sonic Youth.
In the beginning of June 2008 they released their first demo on the internet, with the songs “Hjørnebrikke” (with Katarina Efstathiou from Laura on vocal duties), “Hell litervis med sand på timeglasset” and “Blåe øya”. In due course, the label How Is Annie Records showed an interest for the tapes, and in November 2008 the tracks were available for download under the title “S/T EP”. “Hell litervis med sand på timeglasset” was in January 2009 voted as Ukas Urørt. (Track/Band of the Week)
The first full-length release comes out in the autumn of 2009 in cooperation with Diger Distribution.
