Manheads
Manheads are four guys from Bergen who started up in their current form in the autumn of 2003. The last few years Manheads has established itself as a well respected live band in Bergen, something their considerable audience there would agree to. In 2009 they landed on a solid fourth place in the Urørt final, beaten only by Pony the Pirate, John Olav Nilsen & Gjengen and Fjorden Baby!. Their concert in the final was seen by members of Turboneger who picked Manheads to support them when they guested Bergen on May 16 the same year. In the summer of 2009 they also won the Norwegian Underwood competition and secured themselves a place in the programme of the Norwegian Wood festival itself.
Since the band find themselves with the wind in their sails at the moment, they are steering the ship with a steady hand. In the course of winter 2009/10 the band and Nö Records plan to release yet another 7" single, and the band are currently hard at work on their debut album.
“‘Demonizer’ finds itself right at the crossroads where stoner- meets high octane rock in an endless front collision. Hard as stone and tenacious as resin – This is a dirty energy bomb ejaculating delicious testosterone.” (NRK Urørt)
