Cæcelie Trier, who in recent years has been extremely active in different bands such as Choir of Young Believers, ATOI and Le Fiasko, now comes forward as a singer and songwriter in her own right with her new project Chimes & Bells. This has already resulted in the critically acclaimed EP ‘Into Pieces of Wood’ from February 2009. With rustling drums, noisy guitar, and slow and repetitive songs that are at once captivating and beautiful, the music unfolds and smoulders under Cæcelie’s warm, dark vocals. Chimes & Bells have recently signed to English label Bella Union and with Minty Fresh for the USA, and are currently working on their debut L.P.
