The three members of Ungdomskulen have played together in different constellations since 1999, but it was five years ago that the band first began to take its final form. Since then they have lovingly developed their well known stage show with an impressive amount of concerts in and outside Norway, five 7"s and two albums, the latest in 2009. An overwhelmingly good response has taken them out to large parts of the world, such as for example to SXSW in Texas, CMJ in New York, The Great Escape i Brighton, and Iceland Airwaves in Reykjavik. The sound of Ungdomskulen is built on bass, drums and guitar. If you take the instruments individually the drums seem to be inspired by the city, the bass is syncopated and sonic, and the jazzy guitar sounds like it’s possessed by demons.
