Narum, a trio from Toten, consists of the siblings Benedicte, Jon Anders and Lars Christian Narum, with the latter responsible for writing the lyrics and music which have been the soundtrack to the summer of 2009 for those who listen to NRK P1.

The story of the band Narum is so far concerned with these three siblings, a bad piano and a misplaced demo. They have all been involved with music since 7/8 years of age. Jon Anders and Lars Christian have played in several bands together, with the latter being best known from the band Hellbillies. After a while they realised that their little sister had useful qualities as a vocalist and they started to talk about doing something together. The talking went on all the way until 2006.

“Samma Hen Du Fær” is their debut album and contains the singles “Je Veit Et Stelle” and the title cut, both good representatives for a beautiful, warm and organic Norwegian roots album. Inspiration sources such as Neil Young and Alf Prøysen shine brightly here.
