Supersilent
Supersilent is in many ways Rune Grammofon’s flagship, and the personification of the labels manifest. Supersilent consists of Helge Sten, Arve Henriksen and Ståle Storløkken. They played together for the first time at Nattjazz in Bergen in 1997, and immediately attracted attention. This inspired the band to go into the studio and record their debut, the triple improvisation album “Supersilent 1-3” which came out the year after. Later further albums arrived, recorded in Deathprod’s Audio Virus Lab and Athletic Sound in Halden. The improvisers are unafraid to experiment with this technology, and they insist that everything must be in real time. Even in the studio they play everything live – overdubs have no place in Supersilent’s modus operandi.
