Haddy N'jie & A Few Good Men NO

The place was Granada, Spain in the year 2000 and a wise spouse realized that Haddy needed to let off some steam. He located the city’s guitar maker’s street and placed the chosen one under a tree. The next week songs started to emerge. Back in Oslo, journalism college waited and sporadic small performances happened inn between. As part of the comedy group Queendom, she eventually built up the confidence she needed.

“White lies” hit the stores in October 2005, that Autumn she set up her first feature-length show with the group Queendom. Although she had decided not to waste time on bad reviews, she woke up at 5AM on the Tuesday when it was her turn, and could breathe a sigh of relief. The reviews were fantastic, both the album and the live show! In 2007 the album “Welcome Home” followed.

Since then, Haddy has earned a reputation as an edgy performer, established her regular Saturday column in the newspaper Dagbladet, published a book of her own and a Queendom book, played numerous concerts and performances with Queendom, toured the country with the Norwegian Concert Institute, presented the annual national TV charity telethon along with Dan Børge Akerø, made a comedy series with Queendom for the Norwegian Broadcasting Coorporation, interpreted Alf Prøysen with Viggo Sandvik and recorded her long awaited third album.
