By:Larm consists of two parts: a festival and a conference. The conference is a meeting place for the Norwegian and foreign music industries. A series of lectures, seminars and debates are held during the day. The festival concerts take place at night and are open to the public. Their main focus is to present artists that are on the verge of success, either in their homelands or internationally.

By:Larm’s main office is in Oslo and is operated by the firm Bureau Storm, which is led by Erlend Mogaard-Larsen. In the last ten years by:Larm has been held in Tromsø, Bergen, Stavanger, Kristiansand and Trondheim.

By:Larm 2008 Oslo was our first visit to the beautiful capital of Norway and it was decided to stay there to accommodate the growing number of attendees and the need for larger venues and hotels. The conference will be held in Oslo once again between the 17th and 19th of February 2011.

At by:Larm in Oslo 2009 there were:

About 1,800 ”Speed Meetings”
Close to 50 lectures, debates and workshops
Approximately 500 concerts
Almost 1,900 registered attendees and well over 500 musicians/performers

Welcome to a long and intense weekend of exciting scandinavian music, effective networking and lots of good seminars.
