Review: Boska
Boska took the audience through a diverse sonical landscape, ranging from minimalistic electronica, hard techno, through deep heavy beats and acid-beats, accompanied by twisted vocal samples, on to a lighter atmosphere, opening up space in a way that brings Lindstrøm to mind.
His stage presence was tangible, in the moment, dancing while playing digidrums and his other instruments with an incredible and precise rhythmic feeling.
He held a high level of intensity throughout the set. When given a sign that he had two minutes left, he responded with a smile, appearing to be able and willing to go on forever. Boska showed great versatility, playfulness and joy that really seemed to capture the rapturous crowd.
This show was very convincing, indicating that Boska is definitely an electronic act to watch out for.
